No Waste!
In 2001, Scotland's population consumed more than 7.3 million tonnes of wood and paper, 73,000 tonnes of plastic, 440,000 tonnes of metal, 440,000 tonnes of chemicals and a whopping 38 million tonnes of minerals. During that year we also used 139,937 GWh of energy (the equivalent of every person in Scotland leaving 31 100-watt light bulbs burning round the clock for the year) and each person in Scotland consumed an average of 6.9 tonnes of products

No War!
The Greens are a party dedicated to peace. In addition to our ongoing work with groups opposed to Trident on the Clyde, and the use of depleted uranium (DU) on Scottish bases, we continue to work for peace in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the Scottish Coalition for Justice Not War. Green Spaces

Nuclear Power? Still NO Thanks!
Nuclear Power is not a solution to climate change, it is not carbon neutral, it is unsafe, the problem of long term strage of waste is unresolved and it poses significant health risks.
